Ganesh
The Deity Ganesh sits with crossed legs, his right hand holding his broken tusk. He is considered to be the remover of obstacles thus paid homage before new ventures and journeys. This formidable symbol is made of stone, has a recent repair on his tusk and a grayish patina. Age was given as 14th century but arguably difficult to determine without scientific test. Definitely not later than 19th century. Whatever the age, its a powerful piece emanating the force that it is supposed to convey. Cambodian.
