Gauri
Indian bronze head of Gauri, the Glowing One, another name for Parvati, the epitome of marital fidelity. Elaborate curled braid, hair ornaments and separate marriage collar necklace. Supported on a wood plinth, from the state of Maharashtra and used as the head of a doll like image worshiped and displayed at the Gauri festival. Fine condition.
