Japanese Altar (Kami-dana)

Sugi (cedar) wood with thatched roof. Shinto altars are for families to worship or venerate Shinto deities. They have no images or statues. The fox figurines in the front are not part of the shrine but are sometimes placed there as guardians. In excellent condition. Taisho period.
