Kettle-hook Hanger
Jizai-gake
This jizai-gake is known as the Daikoku type because it resembles the floppy cap that the God Daikoku wears. Keyaki is an expensive wood so this jizai must have graced the house of an affluent merchant. The fine grain and sculpture-like make-up lends itself to a truly unusual art piece and the contemporary metal stand clinches it.
Mid 20th century.
